Some say CrossFit is intimidating. Are you nervous about your first class or just wondering how we run things here? Feel free to call or email us if you have further questions or concerns that the following outline doesn’t address:

  •  – 0 to 5-10min: Arrive/Warm-up (see 1 below)
  • – 10 to 20-25min: Instruction/Set-up (see 2 below)
  • – 25 to 45min: Work Out (see 3 below)
  • – 45 to 50min: Cool down/Leave(see 4 below)
  1. You arrive (hopefully early), set aside belongings and or change clothes. (First timers will meet the coach leading the class, fill out a waiver, and get assigned a buddy for the class). Once settled, you’ll use foam rollers or mobility techniques until the coach gets everyone in the class together and leads them through dynamic stretching and warm-up.
  2. The coach explains workout of the day, reviews the skill or strength component for the day as well as the exercises used in the day’s workout. Everyone will then do the skill/strength component and then get all necessary equipment for the exercises to their area. (Depending on the tasks for the day, first timers will receive an appropriate modification from the coach. Same thing for regular members as necessary so that it is a unique workout for each individual in a group setting.)
  3. The coach begins the workout with “3,2,1-GO!” and then everyone progresses through the workout together. The coach continues to provide individual corrections and motivation (i.e. coaching) throughout the workout.
  4. Upon completion, everyone will put away all the equipment they used, the coach gets the results for the workout from everyone as well as provides some stretching recommendations. (Hopefully you do them before you leave.)

That’s it (and you got a great workout in less than an hour)! Next step – if you’re new – is to register for an Intro Series.

**You must attend all Intro classes before regularly participating in classes or obtaining a monthly membership. We’ve designed the Intro Series to be completed within one calendar week, so please set aside the time to attend all three classes as described below in “Registration Process”. Please note: For more information on the Intro to CrossFit Series please see our Getting Started page.

Intro classes are kept small to ensure that every person gets proper instruction – especially on the more technical movements used in CrossFit. Accordingly, since we limit the class size and registration closes once the class has been filled, please make sure you register early for your first week.

Intro Series will be held starting every Monday following this progression:

  • Mon at 715p (Class 1 of 3)
  • Wed at 715p (Class 2 of 3)
  • Sat at 845a (Class 3 of 3)

You must attend all three classes – in order – before you can start your regular membership. This is for your safety as well as your anticipated progress. Starting off with the proper foundation will set you up for safe success! Reserve your spot by clicking on the button below.
