You are never too old to start CrossFit and improve your wellbeing! CFV’s Silver Steps Program has been designed specifically for the needs of masters 55+ in the Summit area, regardless of existing fitness level, looking to live a healthy life.
Silver Steps allows you to work out with people from your own generation in a small group setting, supporting each other and developing a comradery that will encourage you to continue to improve your fitness. The program incorporates stretching, mobility, balance and cardiovascular activity.
Our body’s ability to positively adapt to exercise training continues even as we get older. Regular physical activity helps you feel younger and stay independent longer. Advancing age is associated with increased risk for chronic diseases, but quality exercise significantly reduces the risk of developing many conditions including cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, obesity, certain cancers, high blood pressure, and dementia.
