0 TO 5-10MIN: INSTRUCTION/WARM-UP

You arrive early, set aside belongings and or change clothes, and get ready for the class. At the start of class time, the coach gets everyone together, outlines the WOD (Workout(s) of the Day), probably tells a hilarious dad joke or two, and leads everyone through a warm-up.

10 TO 20-25MIN: INSTRUCTION/CF SKILL WORKOUT

After the warm-up, the coach leads everyone through some mobility work while addressing the CF (CrossFit) Skill workout. This could be a strength component or some other accessory exercises designed to work on well-rounded fitness. Based on individual goals and fitness levels, athletes will receive appropriate modifications (or enhancements) from the coach to reinforce the intended stimulus of the workout.

25 TO 45MIN: INSTRUCTION/GPP WORKOUT

After the CF Skill, the coach continues to lead the class with a review of the movements in the General Physical Preparedness (GPP) workout. This is a workout designed to get you ready (prepared) for whatever (general) life throws at you (physically you should be able to do whatever is asked of you / your body throughout the day) through some higher intensity efforts. The best efforts you can provide for the day will always be enough!

As you set up your workout area, the coach will confirm you understand the movements, the amount of sets and repetitions of each movement, and the time frame for the workout. Based on individual goals and fitness levels, athletes will receive appropriate modifications (or enhancements) from the coach to reinforce the intended stimulus of the workout.

The coach begins the GPP with “3,2,1-GO!” and then everyone progresses through the workout together. The coach continues to provide individual corrections and motivation (i.e. coaching) throughout the workout.

45 TO 50MIN: COOL DOWN/HIGH FIVES

Upon completion, you put away and wipe down all the equipment you used. The coach provides some stretching / mobility recommendations and officially ends the class. High fives (or low or middle fives for you rebels out there) and you leave a fitter, better you!

REGISTRATION PROCESS

Our CrossFit Veracity On-Ramp Program consists of four, 30-minute sessions. These provide thorough instruction on the how and why of the foundational CrossFit (CF) movements at the core of most programming. We keep the On-Ramp sessions private to ensure you get personalized coaching, clear instruction on the more technical components of CF, and complete familiarity with the CrossFit Veracity class structure.

You must attend all four sessions before you can start your group class membership. This is for your safety as well as your anticipated progress. Starting off with the proper foundation will set you up for safe success!
